Numbers are abstract concepts so kids may found it difficult to learn. However, in using this tally mark worksheet as an initial activity, the kids could at least perceive what a number represents. The worksheet has three columns. The first column contains circle/s, the second contains the number, and the third one contains vertical lines or tally marks. This could be combined with task-based activity. In this case, kids could easily associate the number to the number of circles and the number of tally marks.
